Belgian Gambling Commission issues final warning on preventative messages to operators
The Kansspel Commissie (KSC), Belgium's Gambling Commission, has issued a final warning to licensed operators to include mandatory preventative messages in all communications
Belgium's Gambling Commission, the Kansspel Commissie (KSC), has issued a final warning to licensed operators, insisting that mandatory preventative messages must be included in all communications.
This follows the Royal Decree enacted on July 1, which banned all forms of betting and gambling advertising across all media.
Despite the ban, the KSC mandates that any visible communication must contain preventative messages, altering its tagline from "please play in moderation" to "gambling is addictive".
Operators are also reminded to reference the Belgian self-exclusion gambling scheme in all communications.
