Bet365 has been fined €400,000 by the Dutch gambling regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), for breaching advertising regulations. The fine was issued following an investigation into Bet365's advertising practices in the Netherlands, which revealed that the company had violated rules relating to the use of terms such as "free" and "risk-free" in its promotional materials.
According to the KSA, Bet365's advertising materials were found to be misleading and potentially harmful to consumers, as they gave the impression that players could enjoy gambling activities without any financial risk. The regulator also noted that the company had failed to clearly disclose terms and conditions related to bonuses and promotions.
