Chile's Chamber of Deputies has approved a bill that would prohibit agreements between sports clubs and betting operators, with the aim of protecting sports against match-fixing and minors from online gambling exposure; the bill will now go to the Senate for legislative review before being debated and voted on in Parliament.
The bill would also ban sports betting advertising in all sports, as well as ban those involved in sports organisations, including shareholders, from having a relationship with any online betting platform.
