Danish regulator takes over anti-match fixing platform
The Danish Gambling Authority is now responsible for overseeing Anti-Doping Denmark's StopMatchfixing platform to combat match-fixing.
The Danish Gambling Authority has been made responsible for overseeing Anti-Doping Denmark’s StopMatchfixing platform. As a secretariat for the national platform to combat match-fixing, the regulator will coordinate various meeting forums and analyze information about suspicious bets on sports.
The regulator will pass on information about possible violations to relevant national and international authorities and organizations. The decision to shift responsibility for the StopMatchfixing was made in a political agreement in February last year.
The regulator has also blocked a record 82 sites last year and is working with Facebook to close groups or delete posts that promoted illegal gambling.
