Decrease in mediation requests noted in France's Gambling Ombudsman Report
The annual report by the gambling ombudsman in France reveals a decrease in mediation requests, particularly in the sports betting category
The gambling ombudsman in France, Denys Millet, received 1,373 requests for mediation in 2022, representing a 20.8% decrease compared to the previous year, according to the third annual ombudsman activity report by the l'Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ).
The majority of the disputes were related to sports betting, and Winamax was the operator with the highest number of complaints.
The report also provided recommendations to operators to reduce complaints, including providing reasons for blocking accounts and improving transparency on deposit limits.
