Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit has fined marketing firm Red Ridge Marketing €675,000 for promoting unlicensed online casinos on four websites. The company had been ordered to stop advertising illegally but the regulator imposed the fine after the advertising continued.
The sites contained careless and misleading statements and negative comments about the country's self-exclusion service, and Casinojager.com ran an article titled "Casino Without Licence" claiming that players had more "freedom" playing on illegal sites than licensed ones.
