Dutch regulator provides limited guidance on impending gambling advertising ban
As the Dutch gambling advertising ban draws near, the industry seeks clarity on its enforcement, but the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) acknowledges its current limitations in providing detailed guidance
The Dutch gambling advertising ban is set to be implemented soon, but the country's regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), is unable to offer detailed guidance at present.
Chairman René Jansen acknowledged the industry's concerns about enforcement, channelisation, and administrative burdens but stated that the KSA can only provide limited guidance as certain aspects of the ban are uncharted territory for them as well.
Jansen emphasized that licensed operators are responsible for compliance and urged them to act conservatively and prioritize player protection.
