Gammix Ordered to Pay €4.4m Over Failure to Leave Dutch Market
Malta-based Gammix ordered to pay €4.4m by Dutch gambling regulator KSA for failing to cease operations in the country.
Malta-based operator Gammix has been ordered by Dutch regulator KSA to pay a penalty of €4.4m after failing to comply with an order to exit the country's market.
The regulator imposed a cease-and-desist order on Gammix last June after finding it was illegally offering games to Dutch customers without a licence.
Gammix denied the decision and continued to operate in the market, resulting in the maximum penalty being imposed.
KSA said the case demonstrated the importance of enforcing penalties for illegal activity to ensure their effectiveness.
