Hungary announces measures to counteract illegal gambling
The Hungarian Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs will limit deposits and withdrawals from bank accounts participating in illegal gambling
The Hungarian government has announced stringent measures to curb illegal gambling.
The national regulator, Hungarian Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs (SZTFH), will restrict deposits and withdrawals from bank accounts identified as engaging in unlicensed gambling.
Also, banks will be instructed to decline card payments to unlicensed gambling sites.
These measures, implemented following amendments to the country's Gambling Act, are part of Hungary's efforts to liberalize its gambling market while ensuring regulation and safety for players.
