KSA clarifies rules for untargeted ad ban
Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has provided details on the regulations for the upcoming untargeted advertising ban in the Netherlands, aiming to protect vulnerable groups and young people
The Netherlands' regulator, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), has provided clarification on the rules for the upcoming untargeted advertising ban set to take effect on July 1st.
The aim of the ban is to protect vulnerable groups and young people from the risks of gambling addiction.
The new regulations prohibit gambling businesses from advertising through mass-media platforms such as television, radio, newspapers, and magazines, as well as in public places and buildings accessible to the public.
However, targeted advertising will still be allowed under certain conditions, including online platforms, direct mail, and social media, with measures in place to ensure that vulnerable groups are not exposed to these ads.
