Malta Gaming Authority suspends Tipster Limited’s licence following business winding up
Following the winding up of Tipster Limited, the Malta Gaming Authority has suspended the company's gambling licence, requiring the firm to provide access to user accounts and refund customer credits
The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has suspended the gambling licence of Tipster Limited following the company's insolvency proceedings.
Effective from 27 June, Tipster is not allowed to carry out gambling under the MGA licence but must retain access to all registered users' accounts and refund customers' credit balances.
The suspension is aligned with Regulation 9(1)(f) of Malta's Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations and can be appealed.
This development comes after Tipster's sports betting licence was withdrawn by the German regulator due to non-compliance with licence requirements and possible threats to player protection.
