Massachusetts Gaming Commission bans revenue-sharing for sports betting affiliates
Massachusetts Gaming Commission limits sports betting affiliate revenue-sharing, allows cost-per-action partnerships
Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) has decided to ban revenue-sharing agreements with affiliates while allowing cost-per-action deals.
The MGC has been concerned that revenue-share deals could lead to excessive sportsbook advertising.
However, the waiver on revenue-sharing deals will remain in place until April 14.
Massachusetts becomes the fourth state to limit affiliate partnerships.
