MGCB Approves 888 as Platform Provider for Hannahville Indian Community
The Michigan Gaming Control Board has given the green light for 888's subsidiary, VHL Michigan, to become the platform provider for the Hannahville Indian Community's internet casino.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board has given its approval for 888's subsidiary VHL Michigan to become the platform provider for the Hannahville Indian Community's internet casino website. VHL Michigan will support the Island Resort and Casino in its online gaming operations, which will be run under the Sports Illustrated brand.
Previously, Churchill Downs Incorporated's TwinSpires was the platform provider for both online casino gaming and internet sports betting for the Hannahville tribe. However, the agreement was terminated last July, and TwinSpires no longer offers these services in Michigan.
VHL Michigan has already been the tribe's internet sports betting provider since September and this arrangement is an extension of that partnership. MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams expressed his well wishes for the tribe's continued success in offering internet gaming and sports betting to customers in Michigan. The MGCB will oversee fair and honest gaming to protect the interests of the citizens of Michigan.
