Nevada Gaming Control Board Seeks to Streamline New Product Approvals
Gaming regulators in Nevada are looking for ways to speed up the approval process for new gaming products to stay competitive with other states
The Nevada Gaming Control Board held a public workshop to discuss ways to speed up the approval process for new gaming products, following concerns raised by Governor Joe Lombardo earlier this year.
Gaming Control Board Chairman Kirk Hendrick and industry pioneers are examining ways to streamline the testing and certification process for new equipment, in order to remain competitive with other states.
While some feel the current testing process is antiquated, others suggest Nevada is still the gold standard for regulation, and caution against making rash changes to a system that has been successful for decades.
