Norwegian draft law seeks exemption for gambling from Right of Withdrawal Act
A Norwegian draft law would exempt gambling from the country's Right of Withdrawal Act, making it easier to implement rules on responsible gambling.
A new draft law in Norway would exempt gambling from the country's Right of Withdrawal Act, which currently gives customers 14 days to withdraw from an agreement with a business.
The Ministry of Children and Families argued that the rule is difficult to implement for gambling, and consulted with a range of stakeholders before presenting the bill.
The Norwegian Online Gambling Industry Association welcomed the proposal but called for more to be done to improve the competitiveness and user-friendliness of the state-run monopoly.
