Spain’s Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego has suspended seven gambling operators and fined 13 others a combined €35 million.
The country's regulatory body found 20 operators with "serious or very serious infractions."
The MCA report revealed seven of the most severe offenders lost their licenses, while the rest paid the fines. The latest crackdown marks a record number of offenders, with 2022 rife with violations.
The Spanish government is also looking to expand its regulatory reach over adjacent industries.
