Swedish government calls for collaboration between regulators to control gambling transactions
The Swedish government has called for closer cooperation between Spelinspektionen and the Swedish FSA to strengthen efforts for greater control over monetary transactions in gambling
The Swedish government has called for closer cooperation between the country's financial supervisory authority and regulator Spelinspektionen to facilitate greater control over monetary transactions linked to gambling, citing new regulatory powers issued to the latter body.
The regulators' new laws allow the blocking of payments to unlicensed gambling firms found to be targeting the Swedish market.
The cooperation will ensure all tools can be used efficiently, according to Spelinspektionen director general Camilla Rosenberg.
