The permits cover a five-year period and are part of a new law requiring licensing for suppliers under the current Swedish Gambling Act, aiming to discourage illegal gambling and increase channeling.
Approximately 60 applications have already been received, with further applications being accepted from March 1.
The new requirements also impose a fee of SEK 120,000 (EUR 11,000) and an increase in the renewal fee from SEK 300,000 (EUR 27,600) to SEK 600,000 (EUR 55,300).
