UK Gambling Commission Fines Kindred Group-owned brands £7.1m for failures
The UK Gambling Commission has fined Kindred Group-owned 32Red and Platinum Gaming a total of £7.1m for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures
The UK Gambling Commission has imposed a £7.1m ($8.8m) fine on Kindred Group-owned 32Red and Platinum Gaming for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures. 32Red will pay £4.2m while Platinum Gaming must pay £2.9m.
The regulator said 32Red controls were ineffective and it failed to identify potential problem gamblers. It also cited failures to have effective policies and procedures to identify separate accounts held by the same individual.
32Red breached paragraphs 2 and 3 of licence condition 12.1.1, while Platinum Gaming was also found guilty of breaching SRCP 3.9.1 for the identification of individual customers.
