UK Gambling Commission unveils consultations as part of Gambling Act Review
The UK Gambling Commission initiates consultations on key topics as part of the Gambling Act review, including age verification, online games design, direct marketing, and financial risk checks
The UK Gambling Commission has announced the publication of four consultations, along with two additional projects, as part of the ongoing Gambling Act review.
The consultations cover various topics such as age verification in premises, online games design, direct marketing and cross-selling, and financial risk and vulnerability checks for online operators.
The Commission aims to engage in a 12-week consultation process, with plans to launch more projects in the autumn, including socially responsible inducements and gambling management tools.
Collaboration with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) will play a vital role in setting roles and responsibilities, particularly in the implementation of a proposed statutory levy on gambling operators.
