Vermont legalizes sports betting as Governor signs bill into law

The bill had successfully passed through the state's house and senate before reaching the governor's desk.
Governor Scott, a supporter of sports betting, expressed satisfaction with the agreement and highlighted the benefits of bringing the activity into a regulated framework, including consumer protections and additional resources for the state.
